It hasn't been a good year for the pumpkin patch at the Vintage High School Farm.

Ravens and crows have decimated the crop, said the farm's Heidi Vietor, and this weekend will be the last one in which Vintage High students will be selling pumpkins.

"We have no more veggies, but we have free range Thanksgiving Turkeys for $5/pound (frozen) and eggs for $5/dozen," wrote Vietor in an email.

The Vintage High farm, at the east end of Sierra Avenue in north Napa, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Vietor said.

Also in north Napa, Big Ranch Farms at 2046 Big Ranch Road off Trancas Street has pumpkins galore, daily except Monday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.: (707) 812-3901, according to the farmers' Facebook page.

Next Tuesday, the Oxbow Public Market holds a free "Pumpkin Fest" from 5 to 9 p.m. with merchant specials, a pumpkin contest and jack-o-lantern carving on the river deck. 610 First Street, Napa.

Just south of the city, the Stanly Lane pumpkin patch is in full swing, open daily from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 3100 Golden Gate Drive.

Still further south, American Canyon Community Church at 2 Andrew Rd., American Canyon,is hosting a pumpkin patch Wednesday through Friday from 5 to 7 p.m., according to Yvonne Crytzer Scott.

"Hay maze, games and crafts, food; it's all free," Scott posted on the Napa Patch Facebook page.

"We do sell pumpkins and provide a carving station with adult help so you can buy and carve your pumpkin there and leave the mess with us!" she added.

Upvalley, the St. Helena Future Farmers of America pumpkin patch is "awesome," posted Shannon Kuleto.

You can find it on the west side of Silverado Trail at the River Ranch farmworker housing complex, a mile south of the Pope St Bridge and north of Zinfandel Lane, Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
