The discount can also be applied to the very popular – and already discounted – 4-paks, which enable groups of four or more friends to save money and enjoy the film festival even more together.

This year, NVFF is offering staggered-step seasonally-increasing pricing throughout the year, which rewards audience members for purchasing their passes as early in the planning cycle as possible. During the Winter sale, the Festival Pass is available for $235 (regularly $295) through March 31.

The Spring sale price will be $255.

The Festival Pass is for the ultimate film lover, who wants to see as many movies as possible. It provides five-day access to all film screenings, panel discussions, wine tasting pavilions and culinary demonstrations, and offers special Passholder Perks from NVFF partners throughout Napa Valley during the Festival. This Pass does not include the major NVFF special events and parties.

The Pass Plus is available for $505 (regularly $595) through March 31.  The Spring sale price will be $535.  The Pass Plus is for those who want to see movies and go to the big parties, tributes and awards ceremonies. The Pass Plus provides access to everything a Festival Pass holder receives, plus admission to the Festival Gala, the Celebrity Tributes, the Festival Awards Ceremony and Closing Night Wrap Party, and special Pass Plus only parties.

This year, because the Gala is expected to sell out, a Pass Plus is recommended for those who want to celebrate at this elegant, energized and over-the-top extravaganza. Organizers plan to announce the Gala location this winter.

In addition, 4-packs of passes are available at further discounts. During the Winter Sale (through March 31), four Festival Passes are offered for a total of $820 ($205 each each – normally $295). Four Pass Plus Passes are only $1,900 ($475 each/normally $595).

Locals can take 10 percent off of any of the NVFF Pass products until June 30. Winter Sale pricing ends March 31, after which prices will increase.

Spring sale pricing ends June 30, after which prices will increase again. Summer sale runs through September 30, after which all Passes will be available at normal rack rates until they sell out. Day Passes go on sale October 1, and rush tickets will be available at each screening venue if seats are available after Passholders are admitted.

“We are already watching great films, creating a program, adding new events, and responding to feedback from 2013 attendees, sponsors and partners in order to make the NVFF experience even better this year,”  said NVFF Co-Founder/Director Brenda Lhormer.

“We can promise there will be, once again, something for everyone. And there will be new elements of discovery and surprise. We invite our communities and locals to get involved. It’s an accessible, intimate and rewarding experience,” she said.

Finally, Patron Circle memberships offering the complete VIP Festival experience start at $2,500 per person and are not discounted, but do include a substantial tax-deductible contribution and help NVFF present each year’s festival program as well as its Education programs year-round.
