Napa Pets Blessed on Feast of St. Francis (Photo Gallery)

Churches around Napa celebrated the feast day of St. Francis Thursday with "Blessing of the Animals" ceremonies. Do you have a photo to share?

"All creatures great and small," from eager Labrador retrievers straining at their leashes to shy cats and hamsters in their carriers, received a blessing and a sprinkle of holy water Thursday at St. Mary's Episcopal Church, 1917 First St. in Napa.

Other Napa churches taking part in the annual blessing included St. John the Baptist and St. Apollinaris.

If you brought an animal to be blessed, we'd love to see a photo: Just click the upload button on this page. Thank you! —Louisa
