To the delight of children and families, the Stanly Lane Pumpkin Patch opened this past weekend just south of Napa.

Bill Wilcoxson, who started the Napa landmark some 30 years ago, was on hand Sunday.  The patch is at 3100 Golden Gate Drive.

There are baby pigs at the farm; some cows will join the party soon.

Besides climbing to the top of a giant haystack, there is large tubing to slide back down to the bottom.

A big attraction for the children is climbing into the seat of one of several tractors which is ideal for family photos.

The pumpkin patch will be open 10 a.m. until dusk everyday.
