Gas Leak Causes Street Closures in Napa

A portion of Jefferson and Sycamore streets were closed Tuesday

A gas leak on Tuesday afternoon caused street closures in Napa.

The City of Napa released an advisory at 2:59 p.m. explaining that a line was ruptured by a construction crew at about 1:30 p.m

The city and PG&E were actively working to repair a ruptured gas main at 210 South Jefferson Street at the time of the release.

Jefferson Street was closed from Old Sonoma Road to Spruce, and Sycamore Street was also closed from Jefferson to Seminary. 

The road closures are expected to continue for up to 4 to 6 hours.
