Clinic Ole to Resume Behavioral Health Services in Upvalley

Behavioral health services will begin in St. Helena and Calistoga.

Community Health Clinic Ole will resume integrated behavioral healthcare at its St. Helena and Calistoga locations this January, after nearly a year without these services.

Rosa Olmos, one of Clinic Ole’s behavioral health specialists, will be in Upvalley seeing patients one afternoon each week.

Patients who need to meet with a behavioral health specialist, or are part of the Healthy Moms and Babies program will have services available twice a month at each site, alternating Tuesday afternoons between at St. Helena and Calistoga, helping provide integrated health care for patients.

At the beginning of 2013, all behavioral health care resources were shifted to the main Napa site, since it sees a higher volume of patients and the demand was there.  Olmos has been with Clinic Ole since 2009 and previously provided behavioral health care services to their St. Helena health center before her services were focused in Napa earlier this year.

Alicia Hardy, Behavioral Health Manager at Community Health Clinic Ole, will provide oversight for the service expansion. B

eginning January 1, patients will be able to have fully integrated behavioral health care, including education on self-care, parenting techniques, and emotional coping strategies. Specialists can make sure patients understand their treatment options and refer to additional services when needed. Behavioral health will be available for individual children, adults, and families, along with group sessions that target specific issues.

“My hope is that being there more regularly will develop consistency [so] Rosa will feel like a known and trusted resource,” said Hardy.
