Author of Gay Foster Parent Memoir Appears Thursday in Napa

Kevin Fisher-Paulson speaks at Napa Bookmine at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Kevin Fisher-Paulson, author of "A Song for Lost Angels," appears at a book signing at 7 p.m. Thursday at Napa Bookmine, 964 Pearl St. Napa.

In his book, Fisher-Paulson, a San Francisco Sheriff's captain, tells how he and his partner fostered three medically challenged infants for a year -- only to have them returned to their drug-addicted birth mother by social workers who said any birth mother was better than two gay fathers.

The book, detailed recently in a San Francisco Chronicle article, is being published locally by Fearless Books, a Napa independent book publisher.
