Wooden Valley Roadwork Starts Monday

Residents and drivers along Wooden Valley Road from Monticello Road (SR 128) to the Solano County line will encounter brief delays starting Monday, Oct. 14, as crews work to install new safety measures. Work hours are 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. It is expected that the project will take approximately one week to complete.

Work will include re-striping the shoulder lines with reflective paint and installing reflective raised pavement markings on the centerline, with the goal of making the roadway markings more visible for motorists during night time.

The roads will be open to travel at all times during construction.  However, there will be short periods where traffic is limited to one-way travel with a flagperson at either end of the work area. The County acknowledges that construction may pose an inconvenience to motorists and appreciates the patience of the surrounding community.  It is recommended that motorists seek out alternate routes during construction or simply allow for more travel time between destinations.
