TeenLife's "Sail Away Summer" Contest

One lucky teen age 13-18 will win the summer sailing experience of a lifetime provided by Sail Caribbean. Our teen winner will join a crew of students on a co-ed sailing voyage aboard a 46’-50’ yacht in the beautiful British Virgin Islands. This 14- to 21-day adventure at sea is valued between $3,800 and $5,600. Every Sail Caribbean trip offers experiential learning, community service, personal growth, new friendships, and lifelong memories.

To nominate a teen you know to “Sail Away” simply write an essay! You must be an adult 21 or older! Write a 400-word essay that describes...
  • The nominee's academic and personal goals
  • The nominee’s interests (including scuba diving, sailing, marine biology, and environmental service) and community service experiences
  • Reason for interest in a Sail Caribbean adventure
  • Why they deserve to win a “Sail Away Summer” voyage with Sail Caribbean
  • How this experience will help them prepare for college and life beyond school
