Napa Valley Hospice Gala is Saturday

Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services  hosts its seventh annual gala Saturday, September 14, 2013, at 5:30 pm, at Raymond Vineyards in St. Helena. Soirée au Moulin Rouge will offer guests a spectacular evening of fine food, outstanding wine and camaraderie in the beautiful garden setting. The event, which includes both live and silent auctions, raises funds to support the many programs offered by NVHADS throughout Napa County.

This year’s gala celebrates life and love, and recognizes Honorary Chair Jean-Charles Boisset, Proprietor of Raymond Vineyards, for his philanthropic contributions and commitment to the Napa Valley community.

“We are privileged and honored to host the Soirée for the Napa Valley Hospice & Adult Day Services,” said Boisset. “Their mission is vital to our community, and one we feel so closely connected with through our own lives and of course, the storied history of the Hospices de Beaune in my home village in Burgundy, France. We look forward to a magical evening of splendor and style!” He joins an impressive list of former honorary chairs that includes Dario Sattui, Thomas Keller, Koerner Rombauer, Margrit Mondavi, Vera Trinchero Torres and Beth Nickel.

The highlight of the evening will be the 16 live auction lots, among which are a trip with Boisset to the 2014 world famous Hospices de Beaune wine celebration and auction, known as “Les Trois Glorieuses” in Burgundy, France, which includes four star accommodations and VIP tours of the Boisset family’s French wineries; a private dinner with Napa Valley icons Margrit Mondavi, Miljenko Grgich and Peter Mondavi, Sr.; a BBQ prepared by David Long and hosted at David Arthur Vineyards with the opportunity to have a starring role on an upcoming episode of Feast it Forward; and painting by famed artist Thomas Arvid.

Martha Dameron, the 2013 gala chair, “We can’t wait for this year’s event.  We are looking forward to the enchanting and astonishing entertainment and to sharing in the evening with friends as we raise funds for this beloved, essential organization in Napa Valley. The annual Gala is the major fund raising event for the year for Napa Valley Hospice and Adult Day Services and it is my privilege to serve as the Gala Chair. I look forward to seeing our many supporters there.” said Dameron.
