Lieberstein Raises Nearly $100,000 for Re-Election Bid
Napa County District Attorney Gary Lieberstein has raised nearly $100,000 in his bid for his fifth term as district attorney, according to an end of the year report due on Friday.
"I am honored to have so much support from my friends, colleagues and neighbors, as well as from local businesses and elected officials," Lieberstein said in a press release sent by his re-election campaign.
"It's very humbling, and a strong endorsement of the work we do every day in the DA's office to keep residents and visitors safe."
According to the report, Lieberstein has raised $78,253 in monetary contributions, plus $15,944 in "in-kind" donations, for a total of $94,197.
He received donations from 265 individuals and businesses. On the expense side, reports show he had $83,337 cash-on-hand as he enters the election year.
"As other communities see sharply rising crime rates, Napa County remains one of the safest places to live, work, visit and raise a family," said Napa County Sheriff John Robertson. "Gary Lieberstein understands that being a successful DA isn't just about locking people up, but about making sure fewer people need to be locked up."
