Connolly Ranch Announces 3 New Camps for Summer

Due to high demand, Connolly Ranch in Napa has added three camps to its 2014 summer schedule.

The popular Life on the Farm camp will be extended to ages 4 to 11 in the two new sessions in August.

Additionally, the Junior Farmers Preschool Camp, a brand-new program, will be available for children ages 3 to 5.

All three camps have multiple options available, including a two-day camp for kids who start school on August 13 and after care in the afternoon.

Life On The Farm Camp (ages 4-11)
Session E: August 11-15
Session F: August 18-22
Two, three or five days a week
Half-day available upon request
8:30 am-3:30 pm$315/week

This camp is designed to immerse children in the inner workings of a farm. The morning sessions are spent caring for farm animals, tending to the organic gardens, hiking in the oak woodlands and cooking fresh healthy food (most of it from Connolly Ranch’s own gardens).

Daily chores like feeding the animals, milking the goats, gathering eggs from the chickens and mucking stalls are often kids’ favorite part of the day! Along with all the work comes plenty of time to play and explore, take a hike in Westwood Hills, create arts and crafts, build forts with friends or relax in the shade of the Bay Grove and work on nature-based projects. As the day comes to an end, everyone will join together in the Grove to make music and share stories. 

Junior Farmers Preschool Camp (ages 3-5)
Session A: August 25-29
Two, three or five days a week
9 am-1 pm
$200/week

This camp is full of playful, educational and safe activities for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, designed to inspire a connection with and love of nature and the outdoors. Children will feed and care for the farm animals, get creative with arts and crafts, experience the garden through digging, planting and harvesting seasonal flowers and vegetables, laugh and smile during story and music time and explore freely in the natural open playspace called the Grove.
