BOTTLEROCK FESTIVAL UNCORKS IN NAPA THIS SPRING

Music, Wine and Culinary Weekend Confirms 2014 Festival Dates: May 30-June 1, 2014

Festival Director Named | Official Line Up to Be Announced Mid March

NAPA, Calif.—After much anticipation, Latitude 38 Entertainment (L38), a Napa Valley owned and operated company, confirmed that BottleRock Napa Valley is scheduled for Friday, May 30 – Sunday, June 1, 2014 in the heart of the City of Napa.  A festival applauded by critics for its diverse, world-class musical lineup and an attendee favorite receiving high marks for its food and wine experience, BottleRock will once-again take place at the 26-acre Napa Valley Expo.

With a festival site secured, offers out for talent, the local union and the City of Napa back on board for 2014, L38 also confirmed industry veteran Steve Macfadyen to serve as festival director. Most recently, Macfadyen was the director of entertainment and GM of The Show, a $76 million dollar, 2000-seat, state-of-the-art concert theatre at the Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in California. Steve has also held high-level management positions at companies such as House of Blues Entertainment and Bill Graham Presents.

“Steve’s experience with live shows, artist touring, festival management and production as well as large scale event planning brings a key component to our team. We’re thrilled to have someone with his reputation and pedigree on board,” said David Graham of L38.

Featuring multiple stages, an enticing lineup of world-class wines and some of Napa’s finest chefs and restaurants, BottleRock already has the city buzzing.  An enhanced VIP experience that showcases Napa’s renowned hospitality, along with Napa’s humming downtown merchant scene, hundreds of wineries and heralded restaurants outside of the expo, perfectly complement the curated 50+artist lineup coming in mid March.

“As new producers of BottleRock, our vision is to keep the best-of-the-best from the 2013 festival-goer experience while taking this up another notch,” said Graham. “We think attendees are going to fall in love with Napa all over again.”

Platinum, VIP, 3-day and single day tickets for the 2014 event will go on sale in early March. Ticketholders who purchased pre-sale tickets for the 2014 festival will have the option for their tickets to be honored for the new dates or given a refund.

BottleRock 2014 is produced by Latitude 38 Entertainment.

I hope that they can pull it off without the subsequent drama and scandal of last year's concert. Otherwise for the Napa it will be "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me."

Widespread Panic is big, but not as big as it gets, even on the Jam Band scene. But the music scene in general...not big at all.

I doubt very seriously whether this company will succeed any more than it's predecessor. What securities does this company provide that the noise will not disturb the neighborhoods surrounding the venue? None. What financial guarantees do they provide the Fair Board that would warrant the board to allow them to produce this concert? None. What provisions have been made to assure that vendors and roadies will be paid as promised? And I mean written, legal provisions, not promises. Until these questions are answered, we have to wonder why our fair board members are allowing our state fairgrounds to be used.
