B of A Grants $55,000 to Napa Nonprofits

Bank of America provided $55,000 in grants to North Bay non-profits focused on providing at-need residents with housing in the community. The grants are part of the bank’s ongoing efforts to help address local challenges in community development, workforce development and education, and other critical needs.

One of these groups is the Napa Valley Community Housing (NVCH), a 16-year old non-profit that builds affordable homes that are affordable to Napa's low-income population. The NVCH has built or acquired and rehabilitated over 1,000 apartments and homes, including low-income family, farmworker, transitional and senior housing. Through the bank’s support, NVCH will be able to expand their Resident Services Program, which provides additional assistance and support to residents that helps them to meet their basic needs and increase their chances for success through counseling. Additionally, the grant will contribute to financing the 2014 groundbreaking of a new community with 41 townhomes.
