Gender Equity and Women's Empowerment will be the topic at a meeting of the Napa Branch of American Association of University Women (AAUW). Free and open to the public, it will be held at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 12 in the Napa Library community room, 580 Coombs St., Napa. Speakers from Heifer International, Napa volunteers. Both Heifer International and AAUW support many efforts to improve the lives of women worldwide. Both groups support empowering women through education and other initiatives.
