The Cheer is Here! Artisan Trunk Show in Calistoga

Find one-of-a-kind gifts that support local artists!

Its not an easy commitment...shopping locally. I have relatives sending me wishlists with links to things they'd like. I could have my holiday list all checked off without leaving my chair. But NO! I have vowed to buy all my Christmas gifts this year from Napa Valley businesses and artists.

Too many small businesses are folding in this valley. Many artists work all year to supply handmade gifts at holiday events. We need to show them our support!

One place I know to find cool, hip, handmade gifts is at the upcoming Artisan Trunk Show at ECHO gallery in Calistoga this weekend. The two-day event kicks off on Friday December 14 at 6:00pm with live music by Max Bonick and friends. Come sip some mulled wine and make a dent in your artsy gift list.

Shopping continues on Saturday December 16 from 10:00am to 6:00pm. Find special items including custom jewelry by Sonia Lub, Amanda Emery, Nicky Ruxton, and Gabrielle Lessard; affordable artworks by Christopher Jones-Marino, Melissa and Mercedes Baker, John Paul Abernathy, and Melissa Garden Streblow; screen-printed textiles by Anne Garden; papercrafts by Tracy Fitzgerald; ceramics by Nikki and William Callnan; vintage finds from Napa Nest; and one-of-a-kind items by Gabby’s Cowboy Clothes, plus much more!

Also on view are the works of 37 local photographers taking part in ECHO’s current exhibition “Picture Show”. Take the opportunity to find that perfect piece to add to your art collection or give as a gift.
