The Meritage Resort and Spa Turns “Red, White and BBQ”

The Meritage Resort and Spa in Napa is celebrating the Fourth of July with barbeque, brews and wine during its “Red, White and BBQ” weekend. Events on Friday and Saturday include barbeque demonstrations by The Meritage Resort and Spa’s culinary team; traditional picnic games including Cornholes; and lunch complete with traditional BBQ items, wine and beer tastings; raffle to win a kettle grill; fireworks viewing; and a live band playing calypso music.

On Friday July 4, The Meritage will host a “Glamping Party” complete with a traditional BBQ lunch; BBQ demonstrations by the chefs from The Meritage Resort and Spa, including Executive Chef, Krisztian Karkus; traditional picnic games ranging from a water balloon toss to a Napa Valley version of Cornholes and even a dunk tank; calypso style music from the Shabang! Steel Drum Band; and multiple ways to see fireworks from downtown Napa and Napa Valley. Fireworks can be seen from The Meritage Resort’s Vineyard Deck on the hillside behind the resort, or guests can take The Meritage Resort’s shuttle to downtown Napa throughout the evening for their fireworks show.

After a day of celebration, guests can relax on Saturday, July 5 with a Pool Party. There will be plenty of excitement as the Shabang! Steel Drum Band is back and guests are welcome to enjoy the pool while overlooking the resorts vineyards. The resort’s culinary team will prepare a BBQ lunch on the Vineyard Terrace, while mixologists will serve up cool poolside beverages.
