Placer Business Tweetup to Host Networking Event at Von Housen Mercedes Benz of Rocklin

Placer Business Tweetup will host their 23rd networking event on Tuesday, March 19 at Von Housen Mercedes Benz of Rocklin from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The Placer Business Tweetup community has established itself as one of the more progressive business communities in the area with a focus on keeping business social, and on building strong relationships both in-person and through social media.

The event, which already has nearly 100 RSVPs, will hold a giveaway for an iPad® from Von Housen Mercedes Benz of Rocklin. The value of the tweetups goes far beyond the chance to win prizes though, as a result of previous Placer Business Tweetups new jobs have been created, businesses have started and business partnerships have grown. Many small business leaders also take the opportunity to learn more about social marketing and media strategy by connected with some of the top people in the industry who help to lead the event, including Josh Unfried of WindFarm Marketing, Ray Young of Razor Sharp PR and Andrew Bradley of MrAndrewBradley Communications.

“The Placer Business Tweetup isn’t about the promotion of a company represented,” said Josh Unfried, Placer Business Tweetup founder. “Tweetups are about getting to know people, learning about what they do and developing partnerships, while learning key strategies of how to use social media to stay ahead of their competition.”

While at the event attendees are given the opportunity to learn about a local non-profit at each event. During the event at least one non-profit is able to provide information to the attendees and attendees are encouraged to tweet or post information on Facebook about the non-profit to increase its visibility in the community. The Keaton Raphael Memorial will be the focus on the March 23rd Tweetup. The Roseville based non-profit focuses on helping local families during their child’s cancer journey.
