Michael Chiarello to Open San Francisco Eatery

Spanish cuisine will be the theme at Michael Chiarello's upcoming restaurant on the waterfront, according to the San Francisco Business Times.

Michael Chiarello is a very busy chef who's about to become even more visible with a new location in San Francisco, according to a report in the San Francisco Business Times.

The chef-owner of Bottega in Yountville is already a star with cooking shows on multiple networks, a line of NapaStyle food products, a nod from the James Beard Foundation — which named him a regional semifinalist in this year's Best Chef competition — and even his own wine label.

San Francisco Business Times writer J.K. Dineen reports that Chiarello has signed a lease to move into the former site of Lafitte at Pier 5 on the San Francisco waterfront.
